Overview

This one-hour course will review approaches and theories of supervision and introduce participants to a Deliberate Practice informed approach to supervision. Additionally, this course will review supervisor responsibilities and ethical practice of supervision as outlined by Kentucky statutes and regulations.

Learning Objectives:

  • The participant will be able to articulate their working approach to supervision.
  • The participant will be aware of ethical considerations and resources in the practice of supervision.
  • The participant will understand the primary responsibilities of the supervisor as outlined by Kentucky law.

Meet the Presenter

Barry Winstead is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Pastoral Counselor dedicated to the practice of spiritually-relationally-integrated psychotherapy. He holds a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, where he is also a member of the clinical faculty. With 20 years of clinical experience in working with family dynamics, Barry is currently the Clinical Director of Kilgore Samaritan Counseling Center.
