This one hour course reviews the laws governing the practice of marriage and family therapy, as it relates to supervision for both AAMFT approved supervisors, AAMFT approved supervisor candidates and non-AAMFT approved supervisors in Kentucky. Additionally, this course explores supervisory processes related to the theories, ethics, and responsibilities of board-approved supervisors according to the KAR and KRS. 


Participants who complete this course will be able to: 

  • Participants will become familiar with KY statutes and regulations governing the practice of marriage and family therapy located in KRS 335.300 to 335.399 and 201 KAR Chapter 32. 
  • Participants will be able to apply knowledge of KY statutes and regulations to the supervision of Marriage and Family Therapy Associates.

Meet the Presenter

Mary Badami is an LMFT in Indiana and Kentucky. She graduated from Johnson Bible College with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor. She was an Instructor and then an Assistant Professor at Louisville Bible College for 10 years in the Family Ministry and Counseling Department, eventually serving as Acting Department Head. Mary has served on a Psychiatric Emergency Team for 2 hospitals in Indiana. She served on the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Marriage and Family Therapy for 6 years, serving as board chair for 4 of those years. As part of her service on the board, she attended the AMFTRB annual meeting as the Kentucky State Delegate. She currently provides supervision to students at Campbellsville University. Mary has a small private practice where she supervises Marriage and Family Therapy Associates.
