This 3 hour course explores the ethical and legal considerations for your telehealth practice. Included in this course is discussion about HIPAA compliance, a review of the MFT, SW and LPC code of ethics in regard to telehealth practice, how they are similar and different, the security and risk factors to consider when practicing telehealth and how to better understand state and interjurisdictional laws regarding telehealth practice. This course will also review informed consent, mandated reporting and duty to warn as it applies to telehealth practice. 


Participants who complete this course will be able to:

  • Understand payment processing options for telehealth services
