Course Description

This 1-hour course will provide an overview of multiple theories of supervision and, more specifically, how they can be applied to the development of Marriage and Family Therapists. Additionally, this course will review the various roles and responsibilities of the supervisor, ethical considerations in supervision, and Kentucky statutes and regulations relevant to the practice of Marriage and Family Therapy. 

Participants who complete this course will be able to: 

  • Conceptualize various theories of supervision in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. 
  • Analyze the roles and responsibilities they have as a supervisor and identify which of these will be most prevalent in their supervision practice. 
  • Understand important Kentucky laws regarding supervision. 
  • Apply ethical considerations to their supervision practice.
