Co-Founders of Northstar Counseling Center, Amanda Driggs, LMFT, LCSW, & Carol Ann Isbell, LMFT, LCSW, have always been passionate about their pursuit of lifelong learning. As mental health professionals, they have served the Louisville community for over a decade through their private practice.
Northstar Learning Lab was created in partnership with Dr. Eli Karam, LMFT, and Dr. Amanda Brown, LMFT, CSW in order to fill a gap in continuing education for Kentucky mental health professionals.
Gone are the days of arduous hours of Continuing Education (CE), or searching for last minute trainings to meet state requirements! The goal of Northstar Learning Lab is to allow Licensed Mental Health professionals (including LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, Psychologists and others) obtain high-quality systemic focused CEs, on your time, On-Demand! These CE courses are available when and where you are, so you can continue to focus on the valuable work of supporting your clients, with innovative and superior continuing education in your toolbox.
In alignment with our mission, while providing systemic CEs for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs) in Kentucky, we also ensure that we have valued CEs for social workers, professional counselors, psychologists and more. With a variety of CE topics including trauma-informed care, common factors therapy, telehealth, couples therapy, spirituality, suicide assessment and treatment, cultural competence, pediatric abusive head trauma, MFT Ethics CEs, Social Work Ethics CEs, domestic violence, BIPOC Youth, sex therapy, and MFT Exam Prep, we are dedicated to bringing you relevant and timely CE courses for your practice in Kentucky and beyond! We also carry the Category I CE Sponsorship for Indiana's Board of Behavioral Health and Human Services.
Our goal is to ensure mental health therapists in Kentucky and beyond have access to quality, affordable CE courses that expand your skills and knowledge so that you can competently and confidently serve our clients and communities well.
